Rock Inquiry

My fifth grade classes are conducting deep research into rocks. I made this video especially for them to inspire them to keep searching and asking questions!

You may only be able to view this at home, this site is blocked in the school because we don't have enough bandwidth, but please watch it when you can! Let me know how you like it.

We are now learning about magnets and electricity in the fourth grade, and I am doing a project in grad school about the very same thing!

 

Lessons Learned

Well, we are well into our school year, the February break is behind us, the 100th day of school has passed and now we are looking towards all the standardized tests. We were very honored to have Senator Addabbo come visit our school to pick up the donations that the students collected for the Haiti Relief effort.   The Senator was grateful and told us that he had to rent a truck just to pick up the items from our school because we had collected the most out of all the schools involved.  Good Work PS71!!  To see more photos of the Haiti Relief effort go to th Haiti page on the PS71 website...
